I havent written in my blog for over a year! Fuck. Um, or **** for those of you with censors. I darent resort to cussing due to my inadequate vocabulary. Untimely perhaps, but nevertheless 'tis an entry. So what is up? or wazzuuuuup if you prefer. Fucking advertising. Oh i did it again. ****ing advertising. It seems that these days you cant avoid it. Product placement. Infomercials. Makes me want to be sick.

Completely O/T (that means off topic)... yes it is 3 something AM. Should that bother me? No. Time is just a figment of out collective perception. And in my mind it may as well be anytime, and I'd like it to be raining too. Last week we made some real money outside of our usual business (www.osca.com.au) for Consulting and Marketing advice. Joy. Makes me want to diversify more. I am sure i/we can make money off screensavers and multimedia and all the things we do know about computers and desktop publishing.

Ah well. At least things are happening again. Its weird, but after my overseas time, it took A LOT longer than I thought it would to get back into my old life, and just knowing where I was at. Theres so much to do, to be done! Have fun, and see you soon. Peace out. May infinity treat you well.

So its another new year, and i'm back from overseas and my stint in hospital. joy. back to binging in freetime and bringing in the cash during the week. looks like you can slip back into a rut, um, rhythm easily enough.

When i got back from my trip away, i realised just how many things i have started or going, and how much "stuff" i have around to organise, keep track of or finish. (or even to start in some cases) Life is totally simplified when you live out of a backpack for a while... attachments and conditioning and seeing through it all becomes clear, not having a million things to do makes a daytime and time management perspective simpler. But not simplified in a perception sense. Not worrying about "everything" gives you time to think about nothing, which is really everything. Yes Indeed. Well i enjoyed it, and recommend the experience. Time away from our everyday existance that we are used to makes things all seem fresher and different on a new look, but we still have to act on that new look.

I've been hiding out in various game worlds over the holidays, avoiding reality. The oddness of western society was starkly apparent to me upon my return. I didnt feel that i 'fit' here anymore, this "home" i had been away from for so long and longing to return to. But i do fit. Its peculiar.

Moving right along...

Playing with the CODE again. (aye, the HTML code...) A long time ago i bumped into the paraphrased quote "codito ergo sum" or i code therefore i am. Lol. Coding is great. To build worlds where there were none before! Does that not make you like a god? And so on... "fellow creators the creator seeks." *sigh* now i've just lost my flow. Right. Code! It always comes back to the code. Getting back into the websites. Playing around with the mudhouse text (VME), this game maker i downloaded (GML), and the counter i developed for Valheru with Zmud scripting (and MXL). Going to upload em soon.

Hoping to be adding a lot of content this year, mainly poems i wrote while travelling, and photos. When i get around to them, also various projects should make an appearance as i started on last year but never finished, hopefully being of interest to some netizen, or even if only for my own online cache.

Ok so the world is a crazy place. Dont believe me? Cadbury-schweppes messed up in its labelling of a product that in fact contains no banana at all. Iraq is falling apart, read the opinion that you want to believe: cpa iraq, iraq net, wires blog, where is raed, or have a look about for yourself.

And the world turned... w32.sasser.worm took my friends comp to a standstill. He was infected by his ISP, telstra who denies the fact. Sasser was another of the 'zero day' vulnerability worms, written on or close to the day that microsoft actually announced the flaw/security hole. Heres some info for removal if you care to know:

Make sure you d/l and install these three patches from microsoft. *shudder* you want the :
837009, 828741 and 835732 patches. its about 10mb or less all up to d/l them and saves a lot of potential hassle. If you do have the worm your comp will be seriously messing around, theres an automated removal tool that symantec made. symantec - sasser Thats it for now.

So. Another week has passed. I really ought to update this blog more often, but not a great deal has happened. I seem to be spending a lot of my time happily reading and writing emails :) Theres that niggling feeling deep down that makes it hard to focus. I've ordered a 2 drawer filing cabinet late last week, and it should have been here today already. I need another somewhere to sort the multitude of files and wierd shit that i have managed to collect and aquire. I really should stop taking on so many new projects all the time, but *shrug* learning new things is fun.
Otherwise, my parents and the cats are well, and the sun still seems to rise in the mornings. Hopefully it will rise again tomorrow.

still need to spend more time on this site. I have a heap of links i want to add, and even more notes to transcribe to the computer from my various notepads. I will sort out the whole blog layout thing as i get more entries and links.
I find it odd that i cant find a better rpg game than valheru maybe its just me. Doesn't great and imaginative text just walk all over 3d graphics? I've played morrowind, half-life and its mods, C&C and its spawns, civilization and sid meier's other children, and more, but nothing really compares. Bah ... no worries. And what is the trend towards shooter games? It boggles the mind.

(...finally i am online again...)

So whats up with the world? I am happy again! *shock* In the last few years i have aged and grown sooooo much, and some major world events have rocked the planet and our taken for granted structures. I have been to the brink (and chasm) of depression, passed the signpost that says 'reality', and now i contemplate further. I wonder where all this new political turmoil will bring us. I wonder if we (humans) will make it to mars, let alone out of our own solar system. I wonder if everything i percieve around me is true, or just my own and limited perception. Mmm. Well, finally i am online again. And as i said earlier, happy! :) I have found a likeminded individual i much respect and appreciate. You know who you are :) Enough said.
